Should I upgrade my PC to Win10? I can't decide.

I upgraded my laptop for fun, and it seems like a pretty smooth OS, but I've heard sketch things about auto-updates and privacy issues. Didn't seem to pick up on my naughty activation key, tho.

I'm not upgrading until there is a reason to. I'm not going to reinstall my current machine until I get a new hard drive.

That's my opinion.

It isn't a reinstall, though, really. Well, I think you have that option. But if you want literally everything from files to settings gets left untouched. It almost feels like a "UI overhaul" and nothing more. You can revert pretty easily, too, it seems.

Well I've had Win10 for a few days now and outside of a couple small kinks (and not being able to watch most YouTube videos with Chrome, something about it bricks my, and seemingly everyone's, processor) I couldn't be happier. It's really smooth and has the functionality you'd expect from a brand-new OS. Basically, I haven't had any issues other than performance, which was easily fixed with a regedit and a small change in the settings. So it's more-or-less a prettier and more functional Win7.

I am definitely not surprised that people have had bad experiences, though. I guess I was just one of the lucky ones.
