The Solo Handle Mod Pack Thread


Overview
The server has its own custom modpack for Minecraft 1.7.10! It's composed of the best mods from the Tekkit-Lite and FTB servers with a few other mods sprinkled in. The pack includes custom terrain and biome generation for the ultimate exploration experience, and all sorts of tech-based mods to get factories up and running!

Want different textures? Get Isabella's texture pack here!

10 Player limit
Whitelisted, online mode (Post in this thread with your Minecraft username to be added to the whitelist!)
Server restarts every day at 3:45 AM PST.

Installation
-Download and run the latest Technic Platform Launcher. (Move the downloaded .exe to a folder of your choice.)
-In the launcher, scroll and select "Add New Pack" from the list on the left.
-In the box that pops up, paste in the following URL: http://api.technicpack.net/modpack/solo-handle
-When the mod is added to the list on the left, select it and click "Play" on the bottom right of the launcher to download the mod. It will take a few minutes to download, and the game will launch as soon as the download is completed.

I updated the server today with the new 1.2 patch during lunch. Assuming the server picks up when the mainframe restarts, you can go ahead and update your clients to the new version. I don't know what the new version will do to plugins, namely portals and multiworld, but I think the bigger issue at this point is just being able to connect.

I rewrote the bat file that starts the server. It's a lot cleaner and to the point, so hopefully things will pick up for the restart tomorrow. I don't however, see any updates for portals or multiverse, so I'm uploading a dev version and crossing my fingers that it's not too buggy.

I can replicate the minecraft server on my end and successfully connect to a dev release, but I haven't been able to successfully reproduce an instance where new worlds aren't created/overwriting old worlds. I'll do some more work tomorrow with an older version and see what I can work with.

I'm going to put up a server sans addons just to get something going. Once a more up-to-date Multiverse plugin comes out, I'll remake portals and import the worlds we had previously to get things back to normal, more or less.

The server is up and running. I need to make permissions and there are no portals or extra worlds, but for now it's something. The backups I made of the original world files didn't end up going on the laptop like I thought they did, so those will be put up later. Unfortunately, I think the original freebuild world got overwritten when the server bugged out, so my city-state might be gone for good. I don't believe other world saves were affected though, so Clow's city is probably OK.

The world I'm putting on the server right now will be a single player world I started a couple weeks ago. Incase the original freebuild world is fragged, this will be the new one. I did a lot of exploring and there are a lot of biomes for building in (including jungles!) and I've started making another small city-state already.

Also: I will be testing a plugin that keeps endermen from picking up blocks. Let me know if you see them walking around with stuff.

Derp, forgot to work on permissions. Working right now on getting a remote desktop up and running so all the rest can be done from across the country. I'll see if I can get to permissions tomorrow afternoon if not today.
