This film stars Maggie Gyllenhaal and James Spader.


I try to make sure my opinions stay separate from the objective facts about the film.

It's been a while since I saw this film, but I was reminded of it from watching Californication season 1. Personally, I can't stand her but she has a really solid performance in this one and her character is very relatable as the audience. All of the acting in this one is spot-on, that provides for an emotional ride through this awkward yet delightful film.

Since I haven't seen it in a while, I'd it a 4 of 5.
