What about something like a general/gaming news section? Something where we can post about random things like new games, Steam sales, etc.

Speaking of, Steam Summer Sale is up until the 22nd. Buying Recettear for 10 bucks!

That's sort of what this area is for. By this area, I mean the area that this thread is in. There is a "New Topic" link in the base level of the Gaming forum outside of specific game areas specifically for general gaming conversation. Perhaps I should post a sticky about that or something.

This area is the forum for game discussion. Are you thinking of something more specific?

Like place for games to take place on the forums. Things like play-by-post D&D/role-play games. I have other ideas but basically a way to put similar threads like that together.

But the D&D froum... Should I rename the D&D forum? I believe that's the only place roleplaying and play-by-post actually take place. I'm a little reluctant to make new areas if it can be avoided, especially in an area as layered as the gaming forum.

Um, well I've actually been working on a reorganization of structure so what I'm suggesting has more relevance under that context. It might help to understand that I'm thinking of an area for posts like those ones and others that might have higher traffic like this one.

Some others that I'm thinking of that would go into this game forum but do not exist yet would be things like Next/Previous Poster does ___, character lounges, word/sentence games. Stuff like that.

I'd like to think there should be more places on the forum where people can go and look at threads for entertainment or a regular place to post every visit.

Edit: If I'm not clear I'm specifically requesting a place for games that take place on the forums.
